The Ultra model has a free spinal channel, (no lamb's wool along the channel). This can be an advantage with saddles with a narrow spinal canal but also reduces the protection of the horse's spine.

The lamb's wool on the underside of Half pad Ultra offers good shock absorption for the horse, provides excellent pressure distribution and maximizes the fit and comfort of the saddle. The upper side has durable quilted cotton with a special pattern. Nylon strap with velcro to attach the half pad to the saddle prevents the saddle pad from slipping. Fits all saddles.
The lamb's wool helps reduce sweat and regulates moisture. A Swedish study has shown that sheepskin/lamb wool gives the best pressure distribution.
The half pad is machine washed at a low temperature with our specially adapted detergent for sheepskin .
