Horsedream saddlepads 8003_00d2 Washing instructions Recommended cleaning of sheepskin and lambswool products in three steps:

1: WASHABLE AT 30 DEGREES C

Our Christ Lammfelle sheepskin and lambswool products can be machine washed at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees on the wool programme. Please make sure not to overload the machine and that the products are not centrifuged too quickly. Fasten all Velcro straps before washing. You should wash all products containing metal parts in a laundry bag.

2: RIGHT DETERGENT

We recommend using our Werner Christ C7 detergent for sheepskin and lamb's wool. The detergent is environmentally friendly and a concentrate specially prepared for optimal results with our products. Depending on the degree of dirt, we recommend using 30-50 ml of C7 for every 10 liters of water when washing by hand or for each program in the washing machine. Adding a standard fabric softener helps preserve the elasticity of the leather.

Detergents normally used for textiles and wool are not suitable for washing sheepskin/lambswool products in, so please check that there are no such detergents left in the machine and remove any you find.

3: SUITABLE FOR DRYERS

After the washing program, you can dry our lambswool products in your tumble dryer at a temperature of up to 40 degrees C. The leather moving around in the tumble dryer helps keep it soft and elastic. Alternatively, you can put the lamb's wool outside in the shade to dry in the fresh air.

Make sure it is not exposed to direct sunlight and not near any heat sources, as this can roughen the lamb's wool. Regularly pull the lamb's wool into shape while it dries. As soon as the sheepskin/lambswool is dry, you can brush it with our lambswool brush or comb the lambswool with our sheepskin comb to make it perfectly smooth again.

WASHING BAREBACK PADS/BAREBACK SADDLES

All Horsedream Barback pads can be washed at low temperatures (max. 30 degrees) on the wool program with our customized C7 detergent. This specially formulated detergent will preserve the natural oils in the lambskin and keep it soft and supple. You can also tumble dry at a low temperature (max 30 degrees) or lay it flat to dry, wool side up.

The Basic PLUS model fits in a household washing machine.
Premium PLUS, Iberica PLUS and Cloud Spezial are divided into two sections – the upper part (where the rider sits) rarely needs to be washed. The lower part fits in a household washing machine.

Before washing, all foam pieces must be removed - spacers, front arch, cantle, knee rolls, etc.
Brush after washing when your barback pad is dry. It restores the sheepskin fibers and keeps the barback toad fluffy so it looks like new. You can also brush between washes (reduce the need for washing). Wait until the mud, sweat, dirt etc is dry and just brush. (Brush and detergent included with the purchase of a bar back oven). Lambskin is easy to care for and is actually dirt resistant. You can also sponge off the panels.
